Spring Fertiliser
Spring fertiliser will stimulate new growth and improve a lawns colour and health. Week grass will allow moss and weeds to develop so we apply a slow release fertiliser which is high in nitrogen to produce a nice steady growth.
This is the application of a slow controlled release no scorch fertiliser to encourage thick healthy growth in the grass. The slow release feed will drip into the soil over the summer months keeping your grass strong and healthy.
Your lawn will need a feed which will not encourage excessive growth but one that will harden the grass to protect it from winter conditions. The autumn fertiliser helps develop a strong root growth which will be essential to strengthen the plant to prepare it for the winter months.
Regular moss treatment to remove moss from lawns is vital, if moss is left it can push out the grass and starve the grass of its nutrients. As part of our treatment plans we include a moss treatment where we spray the lawn with liquid iron which turns the moss black almost instantly and gradually works its way down to the roots.
Our treatment plan uses a selective weed killer that is ideal for use on lawns, this is carried out in the most environmentally friendly way we can using the minimum amount of chemical possible.
Lawn Aeration is the process of punching small holes in your lawn which allows air, nutrients and water to reach the deep into the grass roots and encourage a strong healthy root zone. This helps provide the lawn with the necessary nutrients, air and water it requires to grow.
Lawn Scarification is a mechanical raking process that removes layers of thatch and dead moss from your lawn. Over time thatch will build up and if left it will increasingly restrict the penetration of water and nutrients and gradually suffocate the lawn.
There are numerous diseases that can effect grass. We use specialist spray treatments that can cure these diseases and restore your lawn back to its former glory.
Grass plant reproduction slows down after approximately four to five years, therefore as the grass ages, it becomes tired. Younger seed types are therefore essential for higher quality lawns. Lawn over-seeding is the process of spreading new grass seed over your lawn to thicken up the grass and minimise the spaces for weeds and moss to take hold.
Occasionally we find lawns that are beyond repair and it's better to simply start again. We can transform your lawn from a patchy derelict eyesore into a new lush green lawn.
Weeds on drives and patios always look unsightly. We offer a hard landscape weed and moss control service that not only kills existing weeds but will also prevent new weeds germinating for up to six months.
